Meet the Very Good Boy Behind the Channel

Cody isn't a show dog or a therapy dog or a dog with any credentials whatsoever. He's just an English Red Labrador who loves trails, rivers, and zero personal space boundaries.

How This All Started

Cody came into our lives as a puppy. Impossibly fluffy, boundlessly energetic, and with a clear mission to sit on any human who sat still long enough. The red coat, the deep brown eyes, the tail that never stops. We were not prepared for how much personality one Labrador could carry.

The channel started as a way to share moments with family and friends. A short video here, a photo there. But something interesting happened: people who had never met Cody started following along. Not because we were teaching anything, but because watching a dog hit a new trail or river for the first time is one of the most joyful things in the world.

So we kept going. More hikes. More parks. More rivers. And the community around it started to feel like something real. Dog owners sharing their own adventures, asking about trails, comparing notes on the best water spots in California.

What We Actually Do

We take Cody places and document what happens. That's it. We're not professional photographers. We don't have sponsors (yet). We're not veterinarians or dog trainers. We're just a dog owner who loves spending time outdoors with a Lab who completely loses it around moving water.

Everything on this site is written from that perspective: a real dog owner sharing real experiences. What worked, what didn't, what parks actually allow dogs, how to handle a 70-pound Lab who has decided a complete stranger needs a hug.

About Cody's Dad

I'm Cody's dad: his person, adventure planner, and the one who has to apologize when Cody greets other hikers with too much enthusiasm. We're based in California and I believe every dog deserves to see a redwood forest at least once.

I started this channel and site not as an expert but as someone who just figured some things out the hard way and wanted to share them with people going through the same thing with their own dogs.
